Monday 11-11 (part 2) - Afternoon walk
We have a leisurely stroll down the foreshore looking at the statues of famous Hawaiians, some from 100 years ago, some from more recent times. There is Don Ho a singer and entertainer of the sixties and seventies that it is said put Hawaiian music on the map with his hits "Tiny Bubbles" and "I Remember You". There are statues of Queens, Kings and Princesses from the original Hawaiian royal family, plus of course Duke Kahanamoku the man that introduced surfing to the world. A WW1 memorial swimming pool is the last item on our list with a great view of Diamond Head behind.
At the end of the day there is a lovely sunset, over Waikiki Beach as we sit at a Sports Bar watch American Football, sipping on a beer.
