Parts of the Great Ocean Road plus the Dandenongs and the Black Spur. Put a dose of narrow road (one lane narrow!), one lane bridges and some spectacular waterfalls and you have the Hana Highway or the very scenic Road to Hana.
Traffic is spasmodic depending on who has right of way, but there are plenty of people at the various scenic stopping places, sometimes we have a wait for a parking spot. They say it is good to do this road when it has rained. Better for waterfall viewing!!!
Along the way:
- places where some of the scenes from Jurassic Park were filmed
- an Arboretum turning old sugar cane fields back to Hawaiian native flora with views of waterfalls
- plenty of waterfalls, some by the road, some a short walk away
- views of rocky coasts
- views of lush rain forest valleys

Our day ends at Hana overlooking the ocean. We continue tomorrow on our journey around the east end of Maui. Have to thank Mr. Davis for a great drive through less than ideal conditions both weather and road wise, plus Mrs. Earle for her research on the best places to stop along the way. Yet another great day.
